Famously captained Wigan Athletic in their 2013 shock FA Cup win over Manchester City.

An elite professional who played for both Wigan Athletic and Crystal Palace in the English Premier League. After 9 years at Wigan Emmerson went on to play for Blackpool before retiring and spending 4 years as the Technical Director for the Barbados FA, a team that he also played for 12 times.

Emmerson is currently the manager of Wigan Athletic Women’s side.
