Neill is an English former professional football midfielder who went on to make over 250 first team appearances for Wigan Athletic, including many as club captain.

After hanging up his boots Neill worked at the club in both coaching and commercial capacities, whilst also spending time in America running developmental programs in Youth Soccer.
